A two member bench of LHC, headed by Justice Aalia Neelum, heard the case on Tuesday (today). Defence Counsel told the court that his client can be released on bail as the offence committed by his client has been bailable. He added that Police maliciously added terror and murder attempt charges for which Police has no evidences or witnesses.
Gullu Butt’s lawyer further told the court that terror charges cannot be filed against his client as he broke the car windows in Model Town Incident in anger after he was tortured by the workers of Minhaj-ul-Quran.
He pleaded LHC to accept the bail plea of Gullu Butt as his mental condition is not normal and the Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) rejected the petition while ignoring the realities.
The bench ordered Police to submit record of the case and adjourned the hearing for an indefinite period.
