LAHORE: In a long awaited speech, Son of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that clash of institutions will only harm the system, ARY News reported.
Speaking to party men in Lahore, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif warned, without naming anyone, that clash of institutions will harm the system and this in return will harm the country.
The MNA was of the view that despite being the son of a chief minister, his only source of pride is being a political worker and a people’s servant.
He claimed that he is proud of his country’s armed forces whose men have sacrificed their lives for the future of Pakistan.
Hamza, whose absence from the NA-120 by-polls campaign fueled rumours of rift within the party. Sources had also revealed that Hamza Shahbaz’s supporters want him to form a splinter group.
During the speech, however, Hamza defended the party’s economic performance by naming CPEC and maintained that his party steered the country out of energy crisis.
Later in a talk show, Hamza Shahbaz also denied such rumours but hinted that the differences between him and her cousin, Maryam Nawaz Sharif are ideological in nature.
