HBO announces month-long plan to mark 'Game of Thrones' 10th anniversary

It is nearing 10 years since Game of Thrones first premiered on HBO and the network is all set to mark the occasion with a month-long celebration, confirmed Variety.
HBO, on Tuesday, announced the ‘Iron Anniversary’ of GoT, a month-long event that includes an interactive spotlight page on the streaming site HBO Max that has already gone live.
The celebrations also include the ‘MaraThrone’, a marathon of season 1 episodes that will be aired on HBO2, as well as several releases from Warner Bros. Consumer Products. These include a one-of-a-kind Imperial Fabergé egg, limited edition iron-textured Funko Pop figurines, and a range of GoT-themed Mikkeller beers.
Along with the MaraThrone that is scheduled to air on April 10, fans are also encouraged to stream episode collections of the series, proceeds from which will be used for philanthropy; different GoT cast members will introduce these philanthropic causes for two weeks which include UNICEF, The Trevor Project, and Women for Women International among several others.
Earlier in March, HBO also announced three new GoT spinoffs in addition to House of the Dragon; one about The Sea Snake, the head of House Velaryon, the second about the warrior queen Princess Nymeria, founder of the kingdom of Dorne, and the last one set in King’s Landing slum Flea Bottom.
