Heatstroke claims two lives in Shikarpur, several in Dadu hospital

DADU/SHIKARPUR: Heatstroke claimed two lives in Shikarpur within two days as Mercury went up to 44°Celsius in the district, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

Moreover, around 25 patients of heatsroke and other weather-related diseases were admitted at Civil Hospital Dadu during ongoing hot spell in the region,

Sindh’s Dadu district remained among the hottest places in Pakistan during current hot and dry weather spell with 44°C today.

More than 25 people were admitted at Dadu Civil Hospital suffering from heatstroke, diarrhea and gastroentritis including children.

The lack of facilities forced the hospital staff to provide one bed to two patients to accomodate them.

Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast mainly hot and dry weather in most parts of the countryِ, while very hot in Sindh, eastern Balochistan, and Central and Southern Punjab.

The met office has also predicted hot and dry weather in most parts of the countryِ۔ and very hot in eastern Balochistan, Sindh and Central and Southern Punjab on Thursday.
