Haider Abbas Rizvi leaves for Canada after a day-long visit to Karachi

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) central leader Haider Abbas Rizvi has left for Canada after a day-long visit to the city, ARY News reported.

The MQM leader visited the city, from where he was elected as member National Assembly, about after two years.

Rizvi landed in Karachi on Wednesday (June 6) and shortly after landing, he held a meeting with Bahadurabad faction of his party. MQM-P leader Faisal Sabzwari had confirmed the news saying that he reached at Bahadurabad Office after his arrival.

Rizvi was recently reported to be seen driving with Uber,

ride-hailing service, in Canada. Some claimed that the MQM leader was merely trying to gain public sympathy while others appreciated him for earning through sincere means. However, Rizvi didn’t make any comment on the reports attributed to him.

Yesterday when asked if Rizvi is back in his homeland to contest for the upcoming general elections a party representative gave vague replies saying “it is possible”.

In January 2016 a judicial magistrate had issued a non- bailable warrant for the arrest of 10 MQM leaders, including Rizvi, in a case about the misuse of loudspeakers and rioting.
