Hot weather predicted for parts of Sindh, Punjab

ISLAMABAD: Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while hot and dry in south Punjab and Sindh on Sunday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain with thunderstorm and gusty winds is expected at a few places in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Past 24 Hours Weather

The weather remained dry in most parts of the country while hot in South Punjab and Sindh. However, rain occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Bannu divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Mirkhani received 18 millimeter rainfall, Drosh 03 mm, Bannu 01 mm,  Astore 05mm, Bagrote 02mm,  Garidupatta in Kashmir 02 mm.

The highest temperature recorded in the country was 45°C in Padidan and Jaccobabad, followed by 44°C in Mithi, Sukkur, and Lasbella. While, 43°C was recorded in Rahim Yar khan, Rohri, Dadu, Larkana, Turbat, Moen-Jo-Daro and Shaheed Benazirabad.
