Australian actor Hugh Jackman revealed he has undergone two biopsies following a new skin cancer scare.
In the early hours of Tuesday, the ‘Wolverine’ star took to his social media handles to share a new video of himself sporting a bandage on his nose, to talk about the latest health scare.

Having been treated several times since 2013 for a form of skin cancer called basal cell carcinoma, Jackman, 54, said in the video that he has undergone two biopsies and is awaiting the reports in the next few days.
“I wanted you to hear it from me, just in case someone sees me on the street or whatever, I’ve just had two biopsies done,” Jackman said in the video. He added that the condition ‘could be or could not be’ basal cell, he’ll find that out in two or three days and will let his followers know about it soon as it will be confirmed.
“Just to remind you, basal cell in the world of skin cancers is the least dangerous of them all. However, if I can just
take this opportunity to remind you, summer is coming. For those of us here in the Northern Hemisphere, please wear sunscreen. It is just not worth it. No matter how much you want a tan. Trust me,” he urged further.Jackman admitted that it is a result of ‘stuff that happened 25 years ago’ and reiterated, “Put some sunscreen on. You’ll still have an incredible time out there. Please be safe.”

“I know you’ve heard me talk about my basal cell carcinomas before. I’m going to keep talking about them, if need be. And if it reminds even one person to put on sunscreen with a high SPF, then I’m happy,” Jackman wrote in the caption of the video.
It is pertinent to mention here that Australia is the skin cancer capital of the world, with more than 11,500 people diagnosed with melanoma and an estimated 434,000 treated for other skin cancers each year.
