Humayun Saeed returns to television after 4 years with ‘Dillagi’

Humayun Saeed had ventured away from TV for four years, since his last serial was Kaafir. However, the artist has returned with a bang and will be seen in the drama serial Dillagi.

And guess what? For Dillagi, Humayun will be working again with Nadeem Beyg and Mehwish Hayat. The last time these three worked together was in Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, which went on to become the year’s highest grossing film.

The press release stated that:-

Superstar Humayun Saeed is making his way back to television screens. The actor, who became a household name with his strong performances in TV serials such as Mehendi, Chaandni Raatain, Doraha and Ishq Junoon Deewangi, is all set to star in Dillagi which will be his first serial in over 4 years. Humayun was last seen in the critically and commercially successful serial Kaafir. Dillagi is slated to release in 2016 and will see Humayun reuniting with Nadeem Beyg, director of his recent blockbuster movie Jawani Phir Nahin Ani.

Dillagi is going to be produced by Humayun’s own production house Six Sigma Plus. Fans can rejoice as Humayun’s leading co-actor in the serial will be Mehwish Hayat. The duo was last seen collaborating in Jawani Phir Nahin Ani

where they were both praised for their on-screen pairing and presence.

It has been a very successful year for the star who just gave two back-to-back blockbusters at the box office, and 2016 is already shaping into a very exciting year with some very interesting projects in the pipeline. Humayun just wrapped up a shooting schedule in Islamabad for the anticipated upcoming movie Yalghaar and is excited to now be returning to the small screen!

The press release also mentioned:-

Speaking about why he chose Dillagi as his comeback project, Humayun stated “It is one of the best scripts I have come across in a very long time. Faiza Iftikhar has written it very well; in fact it wouldn’t be wrong to say this is one of her best works till date. Then of course Nadeem is directing it. I have always preferred to do projects that have very well put together teams, which is why Dillagi felt like the perfect serial to do after a break of 4 years”.
