Imran demands to make Uzair Baloch JIT report public

SEHWAN: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Sunday demanded from the government to make Lyari Gang War ringleader Uzair Baloch’s Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report public, ARY News reported.

Uzair’s JIT report believed to have revealed evidences against the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). He has confessed to killing people on PPP’s directions.

“Uzair has claimed to have seized 14 sugar mills in Sindh under auspicious of Owais Tappi and sold them to Zardari in exchange of peanuts. He also admitted forcefully making people sell their properties to Zardari around Bilawal House in Karachi,” he said addressing a public rally in PPP stronghold, Sehwan. The rally was attended by an overwhelming number of people.

Imran asked former president Asif Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur what good they had done for Sindh. Corruption and Zardari were two sides of the same coin, he added.

He said Uzair had admitted that he used to give Faryal Rs10 million a month.

“The PPP has ruined the province. Lack of development in Sindh is only because of rampant corruption in the province,” he said.

He said if the institutions of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) were rectified, enough money would be saved to run the country.

According to a World Bank report, because of incompetence of FBR  the nation faces Rs32,00 billion a year, he said.

“I have been watching the PPP for the last 21 years making false claims of providing bread, cloth and house, however the reality is that no other province has as much poverty as Sindh,” he said.

The PTI chief said due to hefty amounts of foreign debts every Pakistani was indebted Rs0.12 million now, which was Rs 35,000 a Pakistani when former president Pervez Musharraf stepped down.

He said this all happened through money laundering and tax was imposed on everything because of corruption. Corruption was plaguing the country and development could only be possible when corruption was eradicated, he said.

He said Rs4,000 billion corruption a year was being done in Pakistan.

Imran also vowed to improve police system of Sindh, once he got in power in next general elections.

“I will make Sindh police replicate of KP police. What kind of justice would you expect, if the law enforcement people start taking bribe from you,” he said.

He promised to bring a system where police will help poor and weak, rather than strong people.
