Imran invites PML-N rebel Ghafoor to join PTI

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Saturday invited former minister Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor Mayo, who recently rebelled against the PML-N leadership, to join his party.

Mr. Khan had a telephonic exchange with Mayo during which he commended his courage and bravery.

He told the former PML-N leader that he watched his presser and that he was a brave person.

During a charged presser, Mr. Ghafoor alleged the party tickets for the upcoming general election were sold. “I know which ticket was sold for how much. I know how much money was spent to appoint someone as governor.”

The former provincial minister swear to expose PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz.

Addressing Hamza, he said, “Lahore is no your and your family’s fiefdom.”

He further added, “I can’t stand with the leadership which has hatched conspiracies against country’s institutions. Sometimes there was a conspiracy regarding changing oath, while other times [Indian Prime Minister] Narendra Modi was called to Pakistan.”

He said he wanted to leave the party after the Model Town incident in which 14 workers of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek were killed and also after hanging of Mumtaz Qadri, the murderer of Punjab governor Salman Taseer.
