LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan on Saturday said Prime Minister Imran Khan had given a message of peace by releasing the captured Indian pilot, Abhinandan, ARY News reported.
“Under the leadership of Imran Khan, we will not let India stand victor. Imran Khan is the hero of Pakistan,” Fayyaz said in a statement.
He said nobody should misconstrue that the Indian pilot’s release would create any havoc.
The provincial information minister said the government had told Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that we would love you if you loved back, but we would reciprocate in the same manner, if you adopted violence.
Pakistani officials on Friday night handed over Indian Air Force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman to Indian forces at Wahga Border crossing. Amid tight security, the Indian pilot was transported to Wahga Border after his traveling documents were finalised by Pakistani officials.

The release of pilot Abhinandan is a gesture of peace from Pakistan, in order to de-escalate the soaring tensions with New Delhi.
The announcement to release the captured pilot was made on Thursday by PM Khan during a joint session of parliament.
On February 27, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) after striking down two Indian fighter jets had arrested one pilot, who had ejected himself after being hit in the airspace of Pakistan in Azad Jammu and Kashmir — something that came as an unexpected setback for India.
