Imran Khan’s pet dogs have been in the news sporadically, and perhaps their coverage in the mainstream media has earned them a Wikipedia page in their name.
According to reports, the Wikipedia’s help desk has also confirmed pets of Imran Khan having their own page.
According to Wikipedia, Khan has five dogs — Sheru, Motu, Sherni, Pidu and Maximus. Of these, Maximus, a Belgian Shepherd, was bought by his second wife Reham Khan.
About Sheru, Imran recently confirmed that the pet died three to four years ago.
Maximus reportedly left Khan’s Bani Gala residence after the divorce of Imran and Reham. There were even reports in April that Khan and his third wife Bushra Maneka had an argument over the dogs.
“Wikipedia articles cover notable topics. If a topic or subject receives significant coverage in reliable secondary sources independent of the subject such as newspapers, then the topic/subject is considered notable and can have its standalone entry on Wikipedia.”
In the general elections held on July 25, Imran Khan’s PTI did better than expected to scoop up 16.86 million votes, trouncing the party of jailed former premier Nawaz Sharif, which finished second with 12.89 million.
Earlier the 116 seats won by Khan’s lawmakers were not enough to give him a majority in the 272-seat National Assembly without coalition partners, but coalition with smaller parties and independent candidates allowed PTI to form its government in Centre.
