ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has assets worth more around Rs38 million, ARY News reported.
According to details furnished to the Election Commission of Pakistan, the PTI chief earned Rs4,776,611 last year.
The document also reveals that Khan made 28 foreign trips, however he stated that his wife Bushra Bibi and his two sons with Jemima Khan — Qasim and Sulaiman — have no assets whatsoever, but they have been listed as his dependents. Further, the PTI chief paid Rs303,763 in taxes last year.
According to the documents, Imran’s wife, Bushra Bibi, and his two sons with Jemima Khan — Qasim and Sulaiman — have been listed as his dependents.
Besides, Imran is also the owner of 168 acres of agricultural land. The cricketer-turned-politician also own two foreign currency accounts.
A returning officer on June 19 had rejected Imran’s nomination papers for NA-53 for failing to fill out the affidavit attached with the nomination papers as per requirement. But Imran’s nomination papers were accepted from NA-243 (Karachi), NA-131 (Lahore) and NA-35 (Bannu).
The candidates including Khan whose nomination forms have been rejected are likely to challenge the decision in the ECP tribunal.
