India cricketer Shikar Dhawan is reportedly set to make his Bollywood debut, according to a report.

India-based news agency Pinkvilla reported the shooting of the left-handed batter is complete while film producers are silent over it on purpose.

He will be a character with a full-length role and not just a cameo.

A source said the cricketer agreed to work on the project as he respected actors.

“Shikhar (Dhawan) always had huge respect for actors, and when he was offered this part he was happy to come aboard,” the source said as quoted in the report. “He makers felt that Shikhar suits the character and reached out to him a few months back.

“It’s a proper full-length role and is not a cameo. His part is pivotal to the film, which is expected to release sometime this year.”
