India responsible for Hub terrorist attack, says Malik

ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister Rehman Malik has said that the terrorist attack in Balochistan’s Hub Tehsil is an attack on Pakistan and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), ARY News reported.

It should be noted that at least 65 people were killed while over 100 others were injured when a blast struck Shah Noorani shrine in Balochistan’s Hub tehsil on Saturday evening.

The blast hit worshippers participating in a ceremony at the shrine of the Sufi saint Shah Noorani, some 750 kilometres (460 miles) south of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan.

Speaking to media before boarding his flight to Dubai, Malik said that the terrorist attack was a clear example of the administration and intelligence’s failure. He added that internal policies has left the country isolated on diplomatic level.

Malik claimed that Indian Premier Narendra Modi had said that he will teach Pakistan a lesson through Balochistan. He said that Modi should be held responsible for the attack.

“We have evidences that the terrorist attack was carried out by India,” said Malik.

“An investigation cell has to be formed in order to determine the culprits behind the attack,” he added.

The ex-interior minister said that terrorism would have declined if the National Action Plan (NAP) would have been implemented in its true sense. He called for an All-Parties Conference to review the implementation of the action plan.

He said that anti-state elements are using banned organizations against Pakistan’s security. He asked the federal government to take action against anti-state elements. He added that action needs to be taken against terrorist organizations such as Daesh and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

He added that inappropriate language, used by federal ministers against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, was condemnable. He said that the four demands laid by the People’s Party chairman are the only solution to the country’s political and security issues.
