Five civilians injured in unprovoked Indian firing along LoC

RAWALPINDI: At least five people including three women were injured after Indian forces opened unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC), ARY News reported on Wednesday.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Indian forces resorted to firing and shelling at civilian population in Khuiratta sector along the Line of Control leaving five of them injured.

The statement further said that Pakistani troops befittingly responded to the Indian firing destroying a number of Indian check-posts.

It is pertinent to note here that more than 1100 instances of ceasefire violations by Indian forces on the LoC have led to the killings of 45 people and serious injuries to more than a hundred last year alone.

Indian troops have frequently resorted to unprovoked firing from across the border along the Line of Control.
