Indian police ‘take into custody’ two ‘pro-Pakistan’ apples

NEW DELHI: After seizing pigeons, balloons in the recent past and tagging them as espionage stuff from a neighbouring country, the Indian police now claimed to have ‘arrested’ two apples inscribed with pro Pakistan slogans.

According to Indian media reports, the apples were believed to have been supplied from Pakistan’s side of Kashmir.

The report quotes a man named Naresh Kumar of India Hindu Welfare Committee who bought four apples, out of which slogans were written on the two apples. Kumar immediately reported the incident to the police.

The case has been registered, and the police assured thorough investigation. Kumar also claimed that name of some terror organisation was also inscribed on the apples. The apples were believed to have been supplied from Jammu and Kashmir.

In August this year, the police in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar district captured two balloons with words ‘Pakistan and I Love’ written on them.

The villagers informed the police about the balloons, SHO Raisingh nagar police station Majid Khan said as quoted by the Indian media. Police later said they were investigating the matter.

A balloon with Pakistani flag tied with it was found in a village in the Padampur police station area of Sriganga nagar district, which shares the international border with Pakistan.

The balloon had ‘Azadi Mubarak’ seal in Urdu and an address of Bahawalpur in Pakistan, SHO Padampur police station Rameshwar Lal claimed.
