President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pervaiz Elahi lambasted the ruling government over the recent hike in petroleum prices and said that current Finance Minister Ishaq Dar should learn economic and financial strategies from former Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin, ARY News reported on Sunday.
Pervaiz Elahi’s advice came after he expressed his dissatisfaction over the recent hike in petroleum prices, stating that while oil prices have dropped globally, the ruling government have hiked the petroleum prices in Pakistan.
Pervaiz Elahi further criticized Dar’s abilities as Finance Minister, calling him “incompetent,” and termed the recent Rs. 10/litre hike in petrol prices “unjust” with the nation.

said that despite following International Monetary Fund (IMF) conditions, Ishaq Dar failed to gain the trust of the IMF, adding that the finance minister Ishaq Dar should learn financial strategies from former Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin.
The President of PTI further expressed concern over the current state of the country, stating that the nation is being ruled by a group of incompetent individuals who have taken away the basic rights of the people.
Pervaiz Elahi also condemned the recent threats by Maulana Fazlur Rehman to take to the streets in protest against the judiciary, calling it an “irresponsible and incendiary statement” that could lead to unrest in the country.
