Japan appreciates sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in war on terror

RAWALPINDI: Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Takashi Kurai called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi on Monday.

They discussed regional situation and matters of mutual interests.

In his remarks, the Army Chief expressed the hope that Japan will continue to play a positive role for peace and stability in the region.

The Japanese envoy appreciated the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the war on terror. He said his country wanted to strengthen relations with Pakistan in all spheres.

Meanwhile, Qamar Javed Bajwa visited CMH Rawalpindi and inquired after the health of Pakistani climber Abdul Jabbar Bhatti who had recently surmounted the Mount Everest.

He congratulated him on his successful climb to the world’s highest mountain.
