Under its highly appreciated campaign ‘Ek Neki Rozana’, Surf Excel initiated an on-ground activity and placed its ‘Neki Tree’, which is, in fact, a barren tree, right in the middle of Dolmen Mall Clifton, Karachi.

While an actual barren tree asks for water and care to grow, Surf Excel’s ‘Neki Tree’ was different, as it was to grow with people pledging to do good for others in the month of Ramadan. If you have done a Neki or intend on doing a Neki, hang it on the tree and you can actually help it blossom.

The activity was initially launched to attract and encourage people to do a good deed every day this Ramzan. But upon seeing the severe heatwave that has hit the country, the brand has extended the sphere of its activity to a whole new level to include a response to the ongoing conversation on climate change .

Clearly, when we speak about doing a Neki, in these days of scorching weather, the biggest and most enduring Neki one can think of is to sow a seed or plant a tree that can be that shield in future in the battle the heatwave and global warming in our country. And the Surf Neki Tree activation tackles just that. Everyone who comes to the tree to put up a Neki, received seeds to plant a tree themselves and start their Neki journey. Surf Team expects to touch thousands of people via this activity, which means thousands of Trees planted in the city of Karachi. Not only that, but those outside Karachi can also participate and get seeds to plant by sending in their Neki via an SMS to 8833.

The activation is receiving massive attention, and this weekend celebrities like Ayeza Khan and Anoushay also visited the tree and put up their Neki pledges.
