ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Tuesday said that the incumbent government believes in freedom of expression and protection of media workers’ rights.
In a series of tweets, she said, “Government is making all out efforts to resolve journalists’ issues”.
“Steps being taken out for the solution of problems being faced by the media men according to PM’s revolutionary visions ”, she continued.
Last week, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan while addressing at the National Press Club in Islamabad had said that the protection of rights of media workers is on the top priority of the government.
“The government is well aware about the problems being faced by the media workers”, Awan had said.
