KARACHI: A judicial magistrate identified 10 accused in the case of attack and ransacking of ARY News office in Karachi.
According to ARY News, Judicial Magistrate Kaleemullah Kalhwar on Saturday identified 10 more accused as a witness before Anti-Terrorism Court in the hearing of two cases. The magistrate said that these were the accused who were identified in the identification parade held in his court.
The leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Farooq Sattar, Amir Khan, Qamar Mansoor and others appeared in the court hearing.
The magistrate said that identification parade of 37 accused was held in his court.
In the previous hearing of the case, the judicial magistrate had identified an accused of the attack, Mohsin Ansari.
The court after the judicial magistrate’s statement adjourned the case hearing till March 2.
Anti-terrorism court indicted last November MQM-P leaders Farooq Sattar, Aamir Khan, Kanwar Naveed Jamil, Qamar Mansoor and others in the case pertaining to attack on media houses.
The court had also declared MQM founder and scores of other accused as absconders in the case.
The media houses were ransacked as MQM workers went berserk after listening the highly provocative speech of their London-based chief, and resorted to a violence, firing and arson on August 22, 2016 evening that left at least one person dead and a dozen others wounded.
