FAISALABAD: Contrary to the media reports, it has emerged on Tuesday that the Kamalia businessman himself transacted huge amount of money from his own account in order to get a bank loan, ARY News reported.
Few days ago, it was reported that bank account of Mohammad Yaseen, a poultry farm owner in village Chak-735 of district Toba Tek Singh’s tehsil Kamalia, was used for transfer of Rs64.709mn without his knowledge.
However, ARY News has unearthed the reality behind all this episode, according to which the account holder was very well cognizant of the transactions.
Bank sources said Yaseen wanted to take five million rupees loan from bank and for that he had got prepared a nominal transaction record as his existing bank transaction was less than the amount required for the loan.
Sources said Yaseen himself gave cheque book to the credit officer and signed its leaves for increasing transaction amount.
However, they added, the poultry farm owner blamed the credit officer for all this mishap after his account came into the Federal Board of Revenue’s notice.
The transactions were carried out between July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2017. The person in question was asked by the authorities to furnish an explanation.
Sources within the FBR informed ARY News that Yaseen had submitted an affidavit expressing his ignorance of these transactions.
