KARACHI: Weather experts have warned that 2019 is expected to be the hottest year since 2015.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted heat waves in May, while June will also be extremely hot.
Considering the PMD’s predictions, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) is taking precautionary measures to improve water supply in all areas of the city, said KWSB Managing Director Asadullah Khan.
A meeting of KWSB engineers and PMD officials has been called in this regard to prepare a strategy for the provision of water in all districts including remote areas of the city, said Khan.
