Three women stabbed to death in Karachi

KARACHI: A gruesome incident of multiple killings was reported in Karachi, ARY News reported on Thursday, quoting police.
According to details, the stabbing incident was reported in Karachi’s Bhittaiabad area of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, where three women were brutally killed with repeated knife attacks inside a house, police confirmed.
The deceased women have been identified as Meena, Aashi, and Dania.
Two others, including a man named Ajay and a young girl Nandini, sustained injuries in the attack and were shifted to hospital for medical treatment.
Police officials said Ajay is believed to be the maternal uncle of the slain women. Following the incident, a heavy contingent of law enforcement and the crime scene unit reached the spot and began collecting evidence.
Initial investigations have yet to determine the motive behind the killings, but authorities confirmed that a thorough probe is underway.
Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar has taken notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from SSP Malir.

He directed police to conduct a transparent investigation, uncover the motive, and ensure strict punishment for those responsible.
In February this year, a man shot dead his niece and daughter-in-law in the name of honour during their court appearance in Punjab’s Pakpatan city.
The deceased victim, who had contracted a freewill marriage with Zahid Nawaz, appeared before the court to record her statement but was shot dead on the court premises by her uncle.
