Karachi to brave very hot weather during next two months

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that Karachi would experience dry and extremely warm weather during the upcoming months of May and June.

According to the weather department, the current weather will continue to batter the metropolis and other cities of Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan provinces. However, the temperature is likely to soar further during the next two months.

Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country, a weatherman said.

He said mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 24 hours. However, light rain with thunderstorm may occur at few places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.

During the previous 24 hours, the weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country with rainfall in Parachinar in tribal region.

The highest temperature recorded during the past 24 hours was 48°C in Larkana and Turbat , followed by 47°C in  Jacobabad, Mithi, Chhor, Bahawalnagar, Sukkur, and Dadu. Whereas, the temperature in Rohri was registered at 46°C.
