KARACHI: An encounter between Rangers and suspected criminals claimed life of a man and injured two others, however, complete identification of the victims could not be done as yet, ARY News reported Monday.
According senior superintendent of police East, “we are receiving information regarding the incident and we’re now collecting evidences.”
The deceased person has been identified as Rab Nawaz.
The SSP East said the injured were identified as Ehsan Ali and Tauqeer. A police card was also found from one of the injured persons.

“We are verifying the card found from possession of Ehsaan Ali.”
Rangers have conducted raids and arrested suspected criminals in different actions over past few years in the city.
Earlier this month, at least 17 suspected criminals including three extortionists were arrested during raids in different parts of Karachi. Arms and narcotics were recovered from the possession of arrested criminals, Rangers spokesperson said.
The raids on tip off were conducted in Nabi Bakhsh, Kharadar, Napier Colony, Baloch Colony, Mubina Town and Awami Colony areas where the law enforces nabbed 13 street criminals.
On March 10, Sindh Rangers claimed to have arrested five suspects, including two activists of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) from different ares in Karachi.
According to Rangers spokesperson, the paramilitary force, in separate actions, arrested two suspects linked with MQM-L from Clifton and three street criminals from Model Colony.
The MQM-L suspects were identified as Kamran Uddin alias ‘Langra’ and Rashid Ali alias ‘Memon’. The Rangers spokesperson said that the suspects were involved in many heinous crimes and added that weapons, ammunition and other valuable things were recovered from their possession.
