KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday released statistics of rainfall in different parts of Karachi, according to which the heaviest rainfall, measuring 28.5mm, was recorded in Quaidabad, ARY News reported.
According to the weather department, Saadi Town and University Road areas of the port city recorded 28mm and 200mm of rain, respectively.
Orangi Town and Keamari recorded 20mm of rainfall, Jinnah Terminal recorded 10.6mm, Airport 9mm, PAF Faisal Base 8mm, North Karachi 5mm, and Nazimabad 2.2mm.
Multiple areas of the metropolitan received moderate to heavy rainfall on Tuesday with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicting more rainfall in different districts of Sindh.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has predicted further rainfall in multiple districts of Sindh. Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar, and Badin would receive mild to heavy rainfall in the coming 2-3 days, he said.
Sardar added that Karachi received rainfall on Monday due to a locally formed system due to high heat. The absence of sea wind caused high humidity in the city on Monday, he added.

Sardar predicted that the low-pressure system, present in the Gujrat region of India, could result in rainfall in multiple regions of Sindh.
