LONDON: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said that Khatam-e-Nabuwat or the finality of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the foundation belief of every Muslim and is an integral part of our constitution.
In a statement, he said that a clerical mistake has been removed in the election bill with consultation of other political parties and it has been restored to an original state.
The former prime minister said minorities in Pakistan have full protection for their fundamental rights including their lives and assets in accordance with the constitution and Islamic teachings.
He said Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) government has ensured this protection in its tenure without any discrimination. He said the nation has elected him as a prime minister three times and he monitored implementation of such protection to the minorities.
