Khyber Agency checkpost attack foiled, 3 terrorists killed

KURRAM AGENCY: Security forces on Sunday foiled a terror attack on check-posts near Khyber Agency and killed three suspected terrorists, ARY News reported.

Sources informed that armed terrorists tried to attack Pakistani check-posts from across the border, which was effectively foiled by the security forces.

In retaliatory fire by the forces, at least three attackers were killed.

On Friday, terrorists had attacked a Frontier Constabulary checkpost resulting in death of two FC personnel and killing of six terrorists were killed.

The militants from across the Pakistan-Afghan border attempted to attack a checkpost in Khyber Agency early Friday, in an exchange of fire two FC personnel were martyred and six terrorists were killed in Pakistani forces retaliatory fire.

Earlier this month, five soldiers of the Pakistan Army had lost their lives in a cross-border “terrorist attack” on three Pakistani border posts along the Pak-Afghan border area. The Pakistan Army reportedly killed over 15 suspected terrorists in their retaliatory action at the time.
