‘It’s important to get away and not known by anyone’

Indian cricket team’s captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood superstar Anushka Sharma can rightly be termed India’s power couple.

The duo are constantly making headlines and are always in the media eye, that too for all the right reasons as both are too good in their respective fields.

This time, the Indian cricketer, however, made news for revealing what makes him and his superstar wife happy.

“Me and my wife like to do normal things, we just like going around for walks. If you have a place like Napier (a city in New Zealand), it’s beautiful. Last night, we were at the marine parade. You know, full moon. We were just enjoying that. Sitting on a bench and just talking,” said Kohli.

“It’s actually the simplest things that give us a lot of joy

purely because we are always in the public eye and we’re always doing things in front of people. It’s very important to get away and be totally not known by people. That’s something that both of us really like, the cricketer added.

It is important to note here that Kohli recently made history by becoming the first player to win the three major ICC awards.

The Indian batsman won Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for Cricketer of the Year, Men’s Test Player of the Year, One-Day International Player of the Year and was also named captain of the Test and ODI teams of the year.

On the other hand, his wife Anushka Sharma too garnered praises for producing the horror movie Pari and and her acting alongside Varun Dhawan in ‘Sui Dhaaga’.
