Law College Principal gunned down in Quetta

According to reports, Principal Barrister Amanullah was on his way to the workplace from his residence when unidentified gunmen opened fire at him in Kalli Tarakha area of the city.

Barrister Amanullah transferred to Civil Hospital in a precarious condition. He was pronounced dead in the hospital. According to hospital doctors the slain principal had 12 bullet wounds. The doctors tried their best to save his life but Barrister Amanullah died due to intense bleeding.

Police and other law enforcement agencies reached to the spot of the incident and initiated investigation of the incident.

Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court and a large number of lawyers reached to the hospital after the incident. The lawyers gathered outside the hospital protested over the murder of Barrister Amanullah.

The lawyers later protested against the killing near Governor House Quetta and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

Governor and Chief Minister of Balochistan have condemned the incident and called report of the incident from the provincial police chief.

 

Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest province in territory, faces formidable law and order challenges from the separatists and sectarian groups involved in targeted killings and attacks on security agencies personnel and government officials.
