According to a police spokesman, police and other law enforcement agencies on an intelligence report about presence of a terrorist camp conducted a raid in the hilly terrain of Sakhi Sarwar near here. Terrorists hiding in the area opened fire at the law enforcers. The law enforcement personnel in counter attack killed two terrorists.
A suicide jacket, hand grenade, Klashnikov and ammunition captured from their possession, spokesman said.
The terrorists were planning a terrorist attack in southern Punjab region, the spokesman said.
The terrorist killed in the operation have been identified as Karim Nawaz and Safdar, said the spokesman. The slain terrorists were affiliated with outlawed militant group Al-Ahrar, spokesman added.
