ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has summoned Indian deputy high commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia and lodged a strong protest over unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian troops, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
Gaurav Ahluwalia was handed a protest demarche by the Pakistani officials.
FO spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal said that India is violating international laws.
On April 2, Three Pakistan army soldiers had martyred in unprovoked firing by Indian troops from across the Line of Control (LoC) at Rakhchikri Sector in Rawalakot, the military’s media wing said.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), those martyred were identified as Subedar Muhammad Riaz, Lance Hawaldar Azizullah and Sepoy Shahid Mansab.
Crossfire on the Line of Control (LoC), which divides
the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir, saw a spike when tensions between two nuclear powers peaked in the wake of the Feb 14 incident of Pulwama suicide attack in which more than 40 Indian security personnel were killed.

Earlier, on March 2, two Pakistani soldiers and two civilians were martyred when Indian forces had resorted to unprovoked firing from across the Line of Control (LoC).
The military’s media wing had said in a statement that Indian forces targeted the civilian population in Nakyal Sector along LoC.
“Two soldiers and two civilians were martyred and two others, including a woman, were injured from the cross border firing”, ISPR said.
