Lost election but won the battle for democracy, says Hashmi

Javed Hashmi was speaking in a press conference alongside with Federal Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique at his house in Lahore.

Hashmi said that he lost the bye-polls in Multan but won the battle for democracy. He added that political careers are not decided by wins or losses in the elections.

“PTI Chairman Imran Khan lost the war of morality”, he added.

The former PTI leader claimed that Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) was contesting elections against un-democratic forces in the historic city.

Khawaja Saad Rafique, on the occasion, said that their local chapter supported Hashmi till the end. The railways minister, commenting on the rumors of Hashmi’s appointment as Governor Punjab, said that its not appropriate to talk about the issue yet.
