KARACHI: An M. Phil student Mukhtiar Ali was found dead from Karachi University’s (KU) hostel at HEJ Colony on Monday, ARY News quoted an International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) spokesperson.
The ICCBS spokesperson said that an M. Phil student was found dead from a hostel’s washroom in Karachi University’s HEJ Colony. The spokesperson detailed that Mukhtiar Ali went to the washroom at 9:00 am and later some students brought his lifeless body out at 6:00 pm.
Ali was immediately shifted to the KU’s clinic. Ali was enrolled in the organic chemistry’s curriculum at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) in 2020 and doing research under the supervision of Dr Hina Siddiqui.

The spokesperson said that both PhD students of Dr Hina Siddiqui had left their studies.
The ICCBS spox clarified that the deceased was neither ill nor consuming any medicines. The KU Campus Advisor Dr Salman Zubair confirmed the student’s death.
Police said that Mukhtiar Ali’s body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for carrying out legal procedures.
