Man dies while watching ‘Avengers Infinity War’ in cinema

PRODDATUR, India: A 43-year-old man died while watching Avengers Infinity War (3D) at a 3D cinema in India’s Andhra Pradesh’s Kadapa district on Tuesday.

His death occurred last week. According to initial reports, he died as a result of cardiac arrest.

According to local police, Peddapasupula Baasha, who was employed at a construction site, decided to go and watch the movie along as part of the May Day celebrations at the theatre. After watching the movie, Baasha was found sitting in his seat without any movement. Initially, the theatre staff thought that he was awaiting the after credits scene, but Baasha was still not moving from his seat event after credits scene.

When they removed his 3D glasses, officials realised that he died with his eyes open. Soon, Proddatur rural police reached the spot and examined the scene. Cops suspect that it could be a case of natural death or cardiac arrest. However, they sent his body to a local government hospital for post-mortem. A case under section 174 of CrPC (suspicious death) has been registered. The investigation is still on.

“Infinity War,” which features more than two dozen superheroes fighting to save the universe, also broke the record for highest North American opening weekend, raking in $250 million at US and Canadian box offices.

“Infinity War” is the 19th film in the so-called Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), combining a whopping nine franchises and a cast list that reads like a who’s who of Hollywood’s A-list.
