Man sentenced to death thrice for rape, murder of boy in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: A sessions court on Thursday sentenced a man to death three times after he was convicted of kidnapping, raping, and murdering a 13-year-old boy in Rawalpindi.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Afshan Ijaz Sufi announced the verdict, sentencing the accused, Irfan Azeem, to death on three counts—murder, rape, and abduction. The court also imposed a total fine of Rs1 million.
According to case details, Irfan Azeem abducted the minor, subjected him to sexual assault, and later killed him by stabbing. The incident took place in March 2023, and a case was registered at Dhamial Police Station.

Earlier a TikToker Samiya Hijab, a close friend of slain influencer Sana Yousuf, claimed surviving a kidnapping attempt in Islamabad.
Taking to TikTok account, Samiya shared a video – apparently from a CCTV camera outside her residence – showing a man shoving her inside a white vehicle.
Samiya Hijab identified the man as Hassan Zahid, who began stalking her after she turned down his marriage proposal.
The TikToker also shared a photo of the suspect, who allegedly began issuing her death threats and began showing up at her residence in the capital city.
