Man throws two daughters in stream near Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: A stone-hearted father on Friday evening allegedly threw two minor daughters in a stream in Gujranwala, ARY News reported.

This prompted a rescue operation after which one of the bodies was fished out of the stream on Saturday, while search for another one is still ongoing despite passage of over twenty-four hours.

Rescue officials have sent the body of the child to Civil Hospital.

Initial investigation are underway but police have not shared any information with the aggrieved family or the media. The real motive for the incident is not yet ascertained.

However, the suspect Mubeen’s brother said that he took the extreme step due to abject property and unemployment.
