Mashal Khan’s belongings revive the family’s grief

SWABI: Grieving parents of Mashal Khan received their son’s belongings amid tears and wails as authorities handed over slain journalism student’s possession at time of lynching incident to them.

Failing to reconcile with their loss, the family members burst into cries watching the deceased’s possession which included cloths, books, shoes, and other stuff.

Parents and sisters of the victim embraced the cloths. The poor father counts the currency notes recovered from Mashal Khan’s pocket.

Pictures that have emerged on the social media are of heart wrenching. In the pictures, the mother and sisters could be seen breaking out into tears after failed to control their emotions.

 

Mashal’s parents have said that a number of their son’s belongings including his valet, laptop, camera and mobile phone are still missing.

Mashal Khan was a journalism student in Abdul Wali Khan University who was lynched to death by a mob in his university on charges of ‘blasphemy.’
