KARACHI: The meteorological department has predicted rainfall in uppers parts of the country with drizzle at few places in coastal areas, including Karachi.
According to the Met office, the rain causing light to moderate monsoon currents are penetrating northern and eastern parts of Pakistan.
It predicted cloudy weather in Karachi with light rainfall at isolated places to bring down the mercury level. The minimum and maximum temperature will remain at 28 and 32 degree Celsius respectively.
The weather office predicted moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorm and gusty at a number of places in upper and southern Punjab including Rawalpindi, Sarghoda, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, D.G Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur and Sahiwal. Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan will also receive showers. Light rain/drizzle is also expected at a few places along Sindh coast, it added.
According to the Met office, various parts of the country received moderate to heavy rain yesterday. Rain with thundershowers with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Gujranwala, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Kashmir and Kalat. Whereas the weather remained hot and humid in other parts of the country.
The highest temperature was recorded in Balochistan province’s Dalbadin city which reeled under the temperature of 51 degree Celsius, while Nokkundi remained the second hottest place with the temperature of 46 degree Celsius. Sibbi and Dadu experienced the temperature of 45 degree Celsius while Shaheed Benazirabad and Chillas 44 degree Celsius.
