John Landis, director of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, said that the video is expected to be released in 2015 and may be shown in movie theatres.
Thriller’s video is based 14 minutes long and is arguably considered the greatest music video of all time due to its visual effects and Jackson’s jaw-dropping dance moves.
Thriller became the first music video to be added into the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress. The Library of Congress inducts those films which impact the culture and history.
The song features on the Jackson’s album of the same name. Thriller is the most sold music album in the history as well.
Michael Jackson’s red and black jacket, which he wore in the video, was auctioned for $1.8 million in 2009.
