Model couple Sauban Umais, Abeer Asad to divorce months after wedding

Renowned Pakistani model husband-wife pair Sauban Umais and Abeer Asad Khan appear to be on the verge of divorce barely months after their wedding, once considered a model couple in the industry.

The duo tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in February 2025, where close friends and family were attendees, and pleased fans on social media with colorful wedding images. Many saw them as the ideal model couple. It was an unforgettable event for Sauban Umais.

Sauban announced on Instagram Stories on Tuesday that he and Abeer had “decided to go their separate ways,” and that the divorce process had begun. “Wish her nothing but good luck,” he penned. Their split was unexpected for a model couple so admired.

Earlier this year, the award-winning models’ wedding photos went viral at the time, with Abeer in a gold and pink embroidered dress with an embellished dupatta and khussa. The wedding included Sauban Umais in splendid attire, capturing attention as a true model couple.

Meanwhile, she kept her look modest with minimal jewelry (a tika and floral bangles), no makeup, and a relaxed haircut. It was a simple yet elegant choice by Sauban Umais’ partner.

In other news, Prominent actor and ‘Tamasha’ alum Sarah Omair confirmed that she and her husband Mohsin Talat have parted ways, after nine years of marriage.

In her recent appearance on ARY Digital’s talk show ‘Buzz’, recently-eliminated ‘Tamasha 4’ contestant Sarah Omair, 37, who married director Mohsin Talat, 47, in 2016, after 11 years of relationship, confirmed their divorce, citing it as one of the major reasons for her participation in Adnan Siddiqui-hosted reality show.

“I got divorced recently, before coming to Tamasha. So I’m also a single parent now,” Omair, who shares two sons with her ex-husband, told host Hassan Choudary, when asked about doing ‘Tamasha’, despite being a popular TV star.

“I had to face certain challenges and was going through some circumstances in my life, because we [she and her ex-husband] are from the same industry, and willingly or unwillingly, we do cross paths,” she continued. “I was also mentally disturbed and frustrated with life, and wanted to run away from everything. Therefore, it was important for me to stay out of touch with a few things.”
