According to details, the roof of the house located at Sialkot’s Malk-e-Kallan area came crashing down during its renovation.
The rescue officials said that the builders, repairing the roof, threw clay on the second roof which could not stand the weight and came crashing down on the woman named Kausar Batool and her 1.5 year old daughter Gurya, killing them on the spot.
Kausar’s second daughter Saima Batool, 10, was also injured in the incident.
Rescue teams arrived at the scene and retrieved the bodies from the debris. An unidentified man, taking part, in the relief work suffered a cardiac attack.
The affected persons were shifted to a medical facility for treatment.
