MQM blames PPP for 'extra-judicial' killing of workers

PPP government is not a democratic one, it is an oppressive party, said MQM leader Qamar Mansoor while addressing a press conference here.

He said PPP-backed police officials were bent on targeting MQM activists. “The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah is directly responsible for killing of MQM workers,” he alleged.

Voicing rage over killing of its activist, he said PPP leader Saeed Chawla had threatened slain MQM activist Sohail Ahmed.

Mansoor said abducted MQM workers were being brutally tortured before their bodies being abandoned. He said it also happened in the past the Karachi operation against criminals was directed towards MQM.

At least 36 MQM workers have been killed under the guise of Karachi operation, he slammed. We had, he said, appealed to the chief justice and prime minister to constitute a judicial commission to probe killings of MQM activsits.

He reiterated that shutter-down strike would be observed across Sindh while protest rallies will be held countrywide on Thursday.

He alleged the day PPP came to power; it launched an operation against MQM.

He said no one could ever wipe out MQM from the country and it will continue to flourish and grow despite all attacks and oppressions.

The MQM leader appealed the PM, President, Chief Justice of Pakistan to intervene and form judicial commission to the probe the matter.
