“Nobody cares when our candles are being put off, but remember, wind does not belong to anybody,” he said while addressing the provincial assembly after election of new chief minister.
He congratulated the newly elected chief minister of Sindh and expressed his good wishes, and hoped that he would work for the benefit of the entire province.
The opposition leader said a sense of deprivation was increasing in cities of Sindh, and it was being felt as if Karachi was not part of Sindh. He said a particular community was being sidelined in the province.
The authorities should know that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was not part of problem but is the solution. He said MQM abstained from election of chief minister in the assembly which was being considered as a deal.
However, if it had been the case then mayor-designate of Karachi Waseem Akhter and senior MQM leader Rauf Siddiqui would not have been arrested.
“We are in the opposition and the opposition keeps working relations with the ruling party,” he said.
