KARACHI: Maritime Security Agency (MSA) has captured the largest drug haul of its history in an operation in the open sea, ARY News reported on Thursday.
Director General MSA talking to media has said that more than 2,400 kilogrammes of contraband substance has been captured in an operation in open sea.
Nine accused including three foreign nationals were arrested and a boat taken into custody in the operation, the MSA official said.
The captured drugs having value of more than 1.5 billion rupees in the international market, the official said.
The MSA official also produced nine arrested men including three foreign citizens before the media. He said Pakistani national identity cards have also been recovered from the arrested foreign nationals.
The identity of an arrested men yet to be established, he added.
The MSA has handed over the arrested men to Customs authorities for further investigation.
