Muharram security: Sindh restricts movement of 155 clerics

The Home Department imposed the ban on 155 ulema and zakireen upon the request of Sindh Police and district administration, of which it has also issued a notification. The ban is already in effect since Muharram 1.

According to the notification, 24 clerics have been barred from entering into Sindh and 131 others from inter-district travelling.

The Home Department restricted five people under the fourth schedule, whereas it also ordered detention of 19 others under the Maintenance of the Public Order (MPO).
