Multan police round up 61 miscreants in overnight raids

KARACHI: Police have rounded up as many as 61 people during raids against miscreants in various parts of Multan, ARY News reported on Saturday.

Police conducted raids at Fatima Colony, Jamilabad, and adjacent areas on suspicion of presence of miscreants in these areas.

According to police, 38 suspects including proclaimed offenders who were said to be involved in various heinous crimes were arrested during the raids. Police also seized weapons and narcotics from their possession.

In a separate raid Police detained five more suspects for possessing illegal weapons under National Action Plan (NAP).

Around 18 drugs-peddlers were also arrested in Multan during the raids. Besides police verified identification of 190 people through biometric device and searched 155 houses.

POLICE RAIDS IN KARACHI

Meanwhile, police arrested four suspects during overnight raids on Friday in Karachi.

A drug-peddler, identified as Abdul Shakoor Baloch, was arrested during a raid at Gulbahar’s Baloch Para with drugs in his possession.

Another suspect, Usman, was detained by police for peddling drugs in a raid conducted near Paposh Colony’s Khilafat Chowk area.

Separately, two street criminals, Saqib and Ghulam Haidar, were arrested during a raid in Baldia Town. Weapons, cash, stolen motorcycles, and mobile phones were recovered from the suspects’ possession.
