WATCH: Murad Saeed says he was verbally abused during budget session

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Murad Saeed has said that he was verbally abused by PML-N’s Abid Sher Ali during Friday’s budget session which infuriated him and led to a ruckus in the National Assembly, ARY News reported.

A video of Murad Saeed lunging towards Abid Sher Ali during the National Assembly session went viral on social media on Friday. The scuffle occurred when Finance Minister Miftah Ismail was presenting the federal budget for the financial year 2018-19.

“They verbally abused people, they (PML-N MNAs) are bad people, their purpose of sitting in the parliament is to abuse all,” said Murad Saeed while leaving the NA after the scuffle.

Later in the day, another PTI leader Ali Zaidi too claimed that Abid Sher Ali used profanities against Murad Saeed.

“He was constantly abusing us parliamentarians… this is not the first time that they have resorted to such behaviour, they (the PML-N) have introduced this culture,” said Ali Zaidi while talking to ARY News.

He maintained that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) used similar tactics against PPP in the past and is now using them against PTI.

In the video, an infuriated Saeed is seen lunging towards Abid Sher Ali before other PTI leaders stop him from going near the PML-N counterpart.

Later, PTI and PPP members of National Assembly staged a walkout from the session protesting against the government’s decision to present the budget for full fiscal year 2018-19.
